S is always asking to try a bow and arrow.  Of course since he is only 5 ½ there is no way I am letting him try a real one.  This toy set was the perfect opportunity for S to try it and see if he even liked bow and arrow.

The Arrow Eagle Archery Children’s Toy Bow and Arrow Set came with three darts, a bow, and a bullseye.  I like that the arrows had suction cup ends and were not sharp.  They didn’t really stick that well to the bullseye when we actually were able to hit it.  The set came with a little contraption that held the arrows when you weren’t using them.

S liked playing with this, but I am not sure how long it is going to last.  B said it best when he described it as a toy you would win at a fair or carnival.  It’s only meant to last for a short time and is not made tough enough to withstand being played with more than two or three times.  In fact, one of the arrow bent when S was using it.  The best way to describe the stick of the arrow is a straw.  It felt like they were giant straws.  It gave S about five minutes of playtime before he got bored with it.  He did go back and play with it the next day but again for only like five minutes.
